Community Solar Efforts

Resource Smart is working nationally with underserved groups, including Tribes, rural electric cooperatives, and municipal utilities, to develop their solar and battery energy storage systems (BESS) assets. 

Resource Smart offers them our award-winning one-stop-shop services, including:

  • Overseeing projects from planning to completion. 
  • Conducting utility interconnection studies and environmental assessments. 
  • Providing engineering, financing, design-build, subscriptions, billing, and O&M services.

  • Applying for tax credits and identifying other grants and incentives. 
  • Overseeing apprenticeship programs. 
  • Ensuring compliance with prevailing wage and other requirements. 
One of our unique value propositions is the assistance we provide in accessing various grants and incentives through the Inflation Reduction Act (IRA) and Bipartisan Infrastructure Law (BIL). This includes applying for bonus tax credits, monetizing the tax credits, and accessing low-cost green financing through our sister organization, Triple Bottom Line Foundation. 

These projects provide numerous benefits to our clients, including reducing energy costs, decarbonizing energy usage, creating local jobs, and the advancement of energy equity and resiliency.
