Have these items ready:

  • PNM account number (found on your electric bill)
  • Photo ID
  • If applicable: Documentation for SNAP, Medicaid, LIHEAP, or Section 8 benefits

Important for apartment residents: You must have your own PNM account in your name to participate. If utilities are included in your rent or billed through your landlord, you may not be eligible. Check with your property manager about your utility billing arrangement if you're unsure.

Visit app.solstice.us/ref/CRCS/localsolargarden and create your Solstice account.
Password Requirements: Must include a special character, capital letter, and number
Tip: You can sign up with Google or create a manual account

Step 2: Enter Property Details
  • Select "Residential" (unless you're a business) For apartment residents: Select "Residential" for your apartment unit (even though you live in a multifamily building)

Step 4: Find Your Rate Class

This is the most important step for ensuring proper discount application.
On newer PNM bills: Look in the "Billing Details" section at the top left
On older PNM bills: Find under "Your Current Electricity Charges" section, listed as "Rate"
Common rate classes include: 1A, 2A, 3A

Step 5: Property Survey

Answer these questions:

  • Budget Billing: Select "No" unless you pay the same amount monthly and "true up" annually
  • Existing Solar: Select "No" unless you have rooftop panels (you can still be eligible if solar doesn't cover 100% of your usage)

For apartment residents: Select "No" unless you personally have solar panels. If your building has solar panels, this typically doesn't affect your eligibility.

  • Community Solar: Select "No" - you're not already enrolled
Step 6: Income Qualification

To maximize your savings:
